EasyWorkout is a workout logging app made by an independent developer. It is designed to collect as little information as possible: you don’t need an account, there is no sign-in, and most of your data never leaves your device.
This policy explains what data is processed, why, and who it is shared with.
Data controller
Iñigo Álvaro Sabaté, developer of EasyWorkout.

Data that stays on your device
Your workouts, routines, exercises, sets, history and settings are stored only on your device. They are never sent to any server.
If you use the export option, the app creates a file that you decide where to save or who to share it with. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it, unless you have exported a copy.
Apple Health data
EasyWorkout Pro only, on iOS.
If you are an EasyWorkout Pro user and give permission, the app reads the following data from Apple Health:
- Steps.
- Dietary energy consumed (calories).
- Protein.
- Carbohydrates.
- Fat.
About this data:
- The app only reads it. It never writes or changes anything in Apple Health.
- Health data stays on your device. It is not sent to any server, it is not sent to analytics services, and it is not used for advertising or marketing.
- It is only used to show you your steps, calories and macronutrients inside the app.
- You can revoke permission at any time in iPhone Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › EasyWorkout.
EasyWorkout does not log what you eat: it only shows what other nutrition apps have saved to Apple Health.
Usage analytics (PostHog)
To understand how the app is used and improve it, EasyWorkout sends usage data to PostHog, a product analytics service. The data is sent to its servers in the European Union. The following is sent:
- Usage events. For example: opening the app, completing a workout, using a feature, opening the subscription screen, or the result of a purchase (completed, cancelled or failed). Purchases are recorded without any payment details or transaction identifier.
- The name you enter in the app. The “Name” field in Settings or in the tutorial is sent along with these events so usage can be analysed per user. It is optional: you can use any name or a nickname, and change it whenever you like. From that moment on, events will carry the new one.
- Suggestions. If you send us a suggestion from Settings, its text is stored in PostHog so we can read it.
- Technical data. Device model, operating system, app version, language, a random identifier generated by the app, and your approximate location (country or city) inferred from your IP address.
Analytics data never includes Apple Health data. It is not used for advertising and is never sold to third parties.
EasyWorkout Pro subscription (Apple and RevenueCat)
- Payments. Payments are handled by Apple through your Apple ID. EasyWorkout never receives or stores your payment details.
- Subscription management. RevenueCat, a subscription management service, is used to check whether you have EasyWorkout Pro. RevenueCat receives the purchase information Apple shares with the app: product, dates, and the status of your subscription and free trial. It also receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app and technical device data (operating system, app version, store country). RevenueCat does not receive your name, your email or your health data.
- International transfers. RevenueCat may process this data outside the European Union. When it does, it uses the safeguards provided for by data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses.
Advertising and tracking
EasyWorkout shows no ads, uses no advertising identifiers and does not track you across third-party apps or websites.
External links
From Settings you can open third-party pages, such as the bug reporting portal, Instagram or your email app. Those services have their own privacy policies.
Retention
- Data on your device is kept until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Analytics data is kept for as long as needed to analyse how the app is used.
- Subscription data is kept for as long as needed to manage the subscription and meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You can request access to, rectification, erasure, objection to or restriction of the processing of your data by writing to easyworkout.app.soporte@gmail.com. Since the app has no accounts, to find your analytics data we may need the name you entered in the app and the approximate dates you used it.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
Children
EasyWorkout is not directed at children under 14.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, it will be updated on this page with its new date. If the change is significant, you will also be notified in the app.
